Consider making Arundel street a 'school street'

Portsmouth should be a 20 mile zone with wider paths and cycle ways and one way traffic. Tree islands in roads

These residential roads should be one way for motor vehicles allowing two way for cyclists. The roads are too narrow for cars to pass and often too long to see if the road is clear or not when you turn in.

It's a blind spot for bikes and cars. Have to edge out into the main road to pull out. Traffic is busy and too fast. Cars park both sides of Brompton Road and on yellow lines so you can't see. It's also a bus route.

It is hard to cross between Festing Road and Canoe Lake, particularly with young children. Cars travel fast and the island feels too small for a buggy and a child on a bike. A zebra crossing along this stretch would really help. This is a b ... [more]

Coming off the safe seafront cycle path bikes are forced to cross at this busy corner to continue in the road. Its dangerous, especially coming from the seafront which is perfect for families cycling

What purpose does this road serve? Close it and extend d-day memorial gardens west.

The angle of this junction is dangerous as it can be taken at speed. this area should be re-designed for a tighter turn and force vehicles to slow down.

Close Sandringham Road junction. Too close to Arundel street lights junction and is already a dead end. Access as necessary via Penhale and Sandringham Lane

Chapel Street Filling station in and out and Washington Road means four vehicle movements in space of 100 yards. Chapel street could easily be closed and footway improvements made as with Buckland Street

Make junction exit only for mower vehicles by two ways for cycles - parked cars main road too narrow further north.

Should be one way northbound so no traffic exits here. Exit via Grove road north lights or st andrews road.

Need to stop southbound traffic turning right into other of these junctions - line of sight is poor and traffic moves too fast on Victoria Rd north.

Too much traffic being fed into the cross roads here - especially at school time. needs a restriction of some description no entry into Francis Ave or 'school street' in St ronan's road to reduce likelihood of an accident.

Festing grove can be a traffic cut through as it replicates Eastern Parade and Highland road. Filter prior to kimberley road would stop this.

This section of Albert road should be one way from main road to Vic Rd South but only true left at exit. Parking often restricts it to one lane anyway, and it is often used a cut through for vehicle wanting to access Albert road.

Entry only to Victoria Grove from Vic Road South as sidelines are very poor exiting and also difficult to turn right due to traffic lights.

The proposal to close this section of road to private cars is absurd. It is an A road and is the major access to the south western corner of the city

Lennox Rd South is effectively a single lane road with no passing places, and the pavements are very narrow and hemmed in by parked cars. Closing it to 4 wheeled through traffic would make it safer for cyclists and walkers.

Henderson Road is a well used cycle route and is also a rat run. There is also an issue of speeding at the Eastern end. Closing the road to through traffic would help keep cyclists safe
