The cycle lane in Stamshaw Road is flanked by parked cars to the left, and a narrow carriageway to the right. This encourages vehicles to pass very close to cyclists, at speed. High-sided and LGVs are especially dangerous here. Oversized vehicles that di not fit in the parking bay also cause particular danger.
