[Image taken 7.2.23] Former Bootham Hospital grounds, junction with Bootham, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location] Leaf litter, pavement, cobbles and that's before you've made it out into the road. If you are turning left you will be looking in the direction of travel. You will have to leave it to trust no vehicles of any kind and no runners/pedestrians will be approaching from the right. Further do pedestrians have a green to cross at the same time as the cyclists get one? Even if they don't, if they see the motor traffic has stopped (or come to a standstill due to vehicle numbers) they cross anyway... Across the path of the cyclist who believes s/he is safe to proceed. Context and links: #190860.
